Wii Fit Plus Check-In: 8 April 2010


Off to a good start.  I've met nearly all the goals I set for myself last week. I've lost one pound (yay-me) but I only managed two Wii Fit Plus and Balance Boardsessions (boo). It's difficult to get Wii time when you're sharing one TV set with four other people. It's obvious I'm going to need a 'Plan B' for those times when I can't get the TV.

I was hoping to have lost a little around the waist and hips. I know a pound isn't much but it still would have been nice.  In my defense, my period did come on today with a vengence after a five-month hiatus. It looks like the menopause is starting.  Between the water retention, cramps, backache, bloating and swelling, I'm feeling pretty grizzly right now.

I have mixed feelings about this new phase I'm entering. On the one hand I'm looking forward to wearing silky, white underwear with confidence; but on the other it's a reminder that time is marching on and if I don't hurry up and decide what I want to be when I grow up, time is going to march right on by without me.

1) Come up with a 'Plan B'
